The national education association describes teacher day “as a day for honoring teachers and recognizing the lasting contributions they make to our lives.” the nea yearly hosts contests for students and adults in thanking the teachers that have inspired them to be the best person they can be. On national teachers' day (aka national teacher appreciation day) we show our gratitude to the people that helped shape our young minds and inspired us.
The purpose of national awards to teachers is to celebrate the unique contribution of some of the finest teachers in the country and to honor those teachers who through their commitment and industry have not only improved the quality of school education but also enriched the lives of their students. If i was ever asked about a favorite teacher, i’d be hard pressed to choose just one.
